WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped - showing the price 10s6d on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing a hint of rubbing at the bottom edge and a single closed tear at the top edge. The spine is unfaded. The spine ends are scuffed. The back panel is sound - it is lightly soiled and has two closed tears running down from the top edge. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very clean. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are dusty and dulled. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. This copy has been INSCRIBED by Doris Lessing to Arnold Wesker. The inscription reads : To Arnold with love ( xxx ) Doris. The author. The book has been additionally SIGNED by Arnold Wesker to the half title page. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
