Lewis, C S - The Screwtape Letters

A bright UK fourth edition - published in April 1942 ( the first printing having come out in February 1942 ).

WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It has been clipped. It shows toning at the spine panel and light wear to the lower edges. The spine ends are gently scuffed. Looks sharp.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are very clean and very bright. The pages are clean and bright. No foxing. The closed page edges are unmarked - they are a little dulled. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There is a small, neat contemporary ( 1942 ) ownership inscription at the head of the dedication page. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
