A US first edition, first impression.
WRAPPER : The period wrapper on this copy is bright, complete and in very good shape. It is unclipped - showing the price $2.50 on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing light rubbing and nicking to the extremities. The spine is bright - it is gently rubbed at the ends and the colours have lost a little of their lustre. The back panel is fresh, showing trivial wear to the spine corners.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very clean. The spine ends are gently bruised and show a slither of fading at the either end. The pages are very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound. No spotting. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper.
