With 14 woodcuts by lionel Ellis. A UK first edition, first impression.

WRAPPER: The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing a single 1cm closed tear running down from the top edge. The spine is unfaded and clean. It shows a touch of rubbing and bruising to the ends. The back panel is sound, showing insignificant soiling to the main body. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK: The book is square and very tight. The boards are very bright and very clean. The corners are sharp. There is a touch of bruising to the spine ends. The pages are very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound, if insignificantly dusty. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
