Locke, J - The Morals of Marcus Ordeyne

Undated but probably from the late 1920's.

WRAPPER : The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright, clean, complete and unclipped. It shows light wear to the spine ends and a small chip out of the lower edge on the back panel. The spine is unfaded. Well preserved. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is tight. The boards are unfaded and the corners are sharp. The spine - as ever - is dulled. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean, though ( as usual with Readers Library titles) the text block and closed page edges are browned. The top closed page edge is soiled. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are fragile but solid. A nice copy of a fragile book.
