The closed page edges are sound - the top edge is inconsequentially dusty. he binding is tight - no cracked hinges. No remainder marks. This copy has been INSCRIBED by the author. The inscription reads : 'From a grateful prize winner. David Lodge Nov 1980'. The price alluded to is presumably the Whitbread Novel award that Lodge won in 1980. A lovely copy in a protected wrapper.
