The third impression and the first cheap edition of this title. In a distinctive plain orange Crime Club wrapper with the Crime Club head on the spine.

WRAPPER : The fragile and scarce wrapper on this copy is bright. It is unclipped. It show very slight overall soiling. The spine is sunned, but not dramatically, and the head of the spine is lightly scuffed. Presents well in protective brodart.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are slightly dusty and musty. The spine ends are bruised. The endpapers show light foxing, otherwise internally the book is bright and clean. The closed page edges are dusty and are lightly spotted. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy of an uncommon title.
