MacDonald, Ross - The Ferguson Affair

A UK first edition, first impression. Uncommon. Macdonald's first book to be published by the Crime Club.

WRAPPER : The evocative wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Barbara Walton ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing light wear to the edges and a 3cm closed tear ( unobtrusive ) running down from the top edge. The spine is unfaded and shows some light rubbing and scuffing to the ends. The back panel is sound, showing inconsequential soiling at the edges. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean, the corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound, if insignificantly dusty - the top edge more so than the leading and bottom edges. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
