A UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper: The wrapper on this copy is complete and unclipped - showing the price 7s6d. on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded. It is lightly rubbed at the corners. The spine is unfaded. It is trivially rubbed at the ends. The white back panel is gently soiled. It shows minimal wear at the bottom edge. Comes with a wraparound which is affixed (as called for ?) to the inside flaps. Unusual thus. Looks sharp.
Book: The book is tight. The boards are unfaded. The lower corners are gently bruised. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The text block is very clean. The closed page edges are spotted. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. Comes with a Book Society order form for the book loosely laid in. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
