A UK first edition, first impression - undated but from the mid 1930's.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is complete and unclipped. It shows the price 3/6 on the spine. The front panel is bright and unfaded. The spine is unfaded. It is soiled and darkened. It is slightly scuffed at the top and the bottom. The back panel is sound. It shows light soiling. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean. The lower corners and spine ends are lightly bruised. The text block is clean - along with the closed page edges it is tanned. There are no loose pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A nice copy.
