Marsh, Ngaio - Singing in the Shrouds (Original Dustwrapper Artwork)

The ORIGINAL, hand-painted dustwrapper artwork for the Collins Crime Club title, Singing in the Shrouds. The book, by Ngaio Marsh, is the twentieth novel to feature Roderick Alleyn, and was first published in 1959. The colours used for the original artwork differ from those used on the actual published wrapper. This piece is hand-painted and measures 194 mm x 154 mm. It is mounted on a light white board. The margins of the white board include pencilled instructions to the printer, with further instructions and details on a pink slip pasted to the back.
