Mills, Arthur - Black Royalty

An early UK reprint of a title that first appeared in 1933. Undated, but I imagine this is from the mid 1930's.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, complete and unclipped. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded. The spine is - unusually - unfaded. It shows inconsequential rubbing at the ends. The back panel is sound, showing light overall soiling and gentle wear to the top and bottom edges. The wrapper is protected. Looks sharp.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are unfaded and clean. There is a touch of bruising to the spine ends. The text block is clean, though as usual with titles from this publisher, it is tanned. The closed page edges are soiled and dulled. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges solid. A nice copy.
