1939 Holiday edition - originally published in 1936. An early UK wrappered reprint.

WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy ( design by Bip Pares ) is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 5/- on the inside flap. It shows scuffing and gentle wear at the head of the spine and a touch of toning to the rear panel. The spine is slightly dulled. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends show a touch of trivial bruising. The text block is clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are dulled. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. There is a neat contemporary ( 1939 ) ownership inscription on the ffep. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
