Laurence W Hodson's copy, with his bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. Hodson was a founder of Birmingham University, chairman of the Wolverhampton Art and Industrial Exhibition of 1902, and supporter of the Guild of Handicraft. He was also a close friend of William Morris. A UK first edition - first issue cloth with gilt rules. A Very Good + copy - unfaded, complete and clean. No inscriptions, bright boards, sharp corners, tight binding. Clean pages with spotting to first few opening pages. Ghosting to endpapers and spotting to closed page edges. A nice copy with Hodson's bookplate on the front pastedown.
