UK First Edition, containing four supernatural short stories : The Open Door, Old Lady Mary, The Portrait, and The Library Window. The book is bound in the publisher's blind stamped cloth, with gilt titles to the spine. It has light bumping to the spine ends and extremities. The front board is very bright, with one or two small blemishes. The rear board has some white paper residue streaks. The spine has a few spots of discolouration towards the tail. The pages are clean - there is ghosting to the endpapers. The closed page edges have one or two spots - the top edge is dust soiled. The binding is sound. No inscriptions.
