The spine is clean and fresh, showing inconsequential bruising at the ends. The spine lettering is bright and bold. The pages are clean and without foxing. The closed page edges are slightly dusty and are toned. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges, no loose pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. This copy has been inscribed by the author. The inscription reads : To Peter, from his friend, E Phillips Oppenheim. A decent copy.
