WRAPPER: The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing rubbing to all the edges. The corners are very slightly chipped. The spine has darkened. The spine is gently rubbed and scuffed at the head and tail. The spine ends and the edges of the jacket have been internally reinforced. The back panel is sound. It is lightly toned and gently worn to the upper and lower edges. Looks sharp.
BOOK: The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very bright and very clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The text block and closed page edges are lightly toned with age. No spotting. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. This copy has been INSCRIBED by the author. The inscription reads: To Mrs E Campbell with Christmas greetings and heartiest good wishes for the New Year. Frank L Packard. Uncommon SIGNED. A great copy in a protected wrapper.
