Laminated pictorial boards in a wrapper. An INSCRIBED and SIGNED UK first edition, first impression. THE WRAPPER: The wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded, complete and unclipped. It shows entirely trivial traces of bruising to the spine ends and panel edges. Looks very sharp.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The laminated boards are clean and unfaded, the corners sharp. The pages are clean and bright. The closed page edges are unmarked. No foxing. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. No remainder marks. This copy has been SIGNED 'Oliver' by the author, Oliver Postgate underneath an inscription by Naomi Linnell which reads : 'For Auntie Peg, with love from Naomi'. Though there is nothing in the book to indicate it, this book was acquired from Postagte's partner, Naomi Linnell - hence the single name from Postgate. A handsome copy.
