A SIGNED UK first edition, first impression. Uncommon. As ever, an ex-library copy.
WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is clean and complete. It is unclipped. There is slight scuffing to all edges and the spine is slightly faded. Looks sharp in Brodart.
BOOK : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. Being an ex-lib copy, there are stamps on the title page and the copyright page. There is also a single stamp at the bottom of page 9. The endpapers are scruffy, showing tape marks. There are no library pockets evident. The boards are clean, the corners sharp. There is a touch of bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are - as usual - toned. This copy has been SIGNED by Philip Pullman to the half title page. The binding is tight, the hinges solid. A reasonable copy of a difficult title.
