A UK first edition, first impression. Charming period illustrations by Edwin Noble ( all present ) tipped in throughout the book. No wrapper. The book is square and tight. There is a child's name and address on the ffep. The boards ( including the inlaid illustration ) are bright and unfaded. The orange lettering on the spine is unfaded. All the corners are bumped and rubbed. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are a tad dusty. The binding is tight with no dog-eared pages or cracked hinges. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
