The first twelve numbers of the Gaberbocchus Black series, bound together. Authors: Raymond Queneau, Franiszka Themerson, C.H. Sisson, Stefan Themerson, etc. A UK first edition, first impression.
Wrapper: The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 25s on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing a touch of rubbing to the edges and corners and slight creasing to the bottom edge The spine is clean and unfaded. The back panel is sound, showing a touch of rubbing and trivial scuffing to the edges. Looks sharp in protective plastic.Book: The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are slightly toned, slightly dusty and show occasional flecking. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
