Raine, Allen - On the Wings of the Wind

Vintage Romance, set in Wales. 334th thousand stated on the front cover. Undated, but probably from the late 1920's.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, clean, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped. The back panel carries an advertisement for Kolynos toothpaste. It shows slight wear to the spine ends and gentle soiling to the edges of the inside flaps. The spine ends have been internally reinforced. Well preserved. Looks sharp.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are very clean. The corners are sharp. The spine is bright. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean, though as ever with these cheaper productions, they are dulled and toned with age. The closed page edges are likewise toned. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. There is a contemporary ownership inscription on the half title page. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper.
