Rhodes, Kathlyn - Under the Orange Tree

A period UK reprint. Undated, but from the mid 1930's.

WRAPPER :  The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, clean well preserved and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel and the spine are bright, clean and unfaded. The spine ends are very slightly bruised. The back panel - which carries an advert for Kolynos toothpaste - is bright. It is slightly darkened at the leading edge. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very bright and are unfaded. The corners are sharp. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The text block is clean, but - as ever with these Leisure Library titles - tanned. The closed page edges are toned and gently spotted. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
