Vintage romance. Undated and no edition given. From the early / mid 1940's. A presumed first edition.

Wrapper : The evocative period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Abbey ) is bright, unfaded, clean and complete. It is unclipped - showing the price 5/- on the inside flap. The front and back panels are clean and fresh. The spine panel is clean and unfaded, showing a hint of trivial bruising at the ends. Looks very sharp.

Book : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are very clean. The corners are sharp. It shows an insignificant hint of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are clean - if very, very slightly dulled. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper.
