More Details on this Rare Book

A UK first edition, first impression.
WRAPPER: The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded, showing wear (light creasing, closed tears) to the outer corners. There is a small closed tear running up the front panel/spine crease. The spine has faded. The back panel is sound. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK: The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and fresh. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are very gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing - there is ghosting to the endpapers. The closed page edges are slightly dulled. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
Publisher: Herbert Jenkins, 1957
