Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and is complete. It is unclipped - showing the price £6.95 on the inside flap. It is - as ever - lightly faded at the spine and to the edges of both front and back panels that are adjacent to the spine.
Book : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards show light soiling at the edges. The spine ends are bruised, there is a little bit of rubbing to the silver lettering of Rushdie's name. The pages are clean - there is spotting to the endpapers. The closed page edges are sound - the top edge is flecked. The binding is tight- no cracked hinges. No remainder marks.
