Sabatini, Rafael (edits) - A Century of Historical Stories

Short stories by the likes of John Buchan, H C Bailey, Anthony Hope, Naomi Mitchison, Baroness Orczy and Rafael Sabatini. Undated (c. 1935), but an assumed A UK first edition. Well preserved and scarce thus.

Wrapper : The period wrapper on this copy is very bright, is clean and is complete. It is unclipped and, remarkably, it is unfaded. It shows slight wear at the top edges and at the head of the spine. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.

Book : The book is square and very tight. The pink boards are very clean and are unfaded. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are toned. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A striking copy in a protected wrapper.
