Seltzer, Charles Alden - Land of the Free
A UK first edition, first impression.
WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing gentle wear at the top edge and very slight soiling at the bottom edge. The spine is unfaded and very bright. The back panel is clean and bright. There is a barely visible crease running the length of the panel. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are lightly soiled. The lower corners and the spine ends are gently bruised. There is a mark on the spine where a label has been removed. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are a dulled and dusty. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - the rear board hinge is fragile. There is an ownership stamp on the title page and two stamps ( one on the copyright page and one on the ffep ) imploring the reader to treat the book with care. Despite the mark on the spine and the two stamps, I don't think this is a library copy as there are no other signs ( pockets, stamps, etc ) to suggest it is. Either way, a nice copy in a protected wrapper.
