Sharp, Margery - The Flowering Thorn

A bright, attractive 1937 reprint of a title that was first published in 1933. With 2/6 on the spine.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, very clean, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is fresh and clean. It shows gentle wear at the top edge. The spine is unfaded and sharp. It shows a hint of rubbing and scuffing to the ends. The back panel is clean and bright. it shows tiny nicks out of the leading edge corners. Well preserved. Looks very sharp.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded, the corners sharp. The pages are clean and bright. No foxing. The closed page edges are slightly dulled. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges or dog-eared pages. There is a neat, contemporary ( 1939 ) gift inscription on the ffep. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper.
