Vintage romance. Undated, but from the early 1940's. A UK first printing ( first edition ).
WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by Abbey ) is bright, fresh and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded, showing light wear to the top and bottom edges. The spine is unfaded and clean. it is gently rubbed and scuffed at the top and tail. The back panel is clean and bright, showing trivial rubbing at the top edge. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are very bright and very clean. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are dulled, slightly dusty and are spotted. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There is a tiny previous ownership inscription at the bottom of the ffep. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
