Volume 1, Number 1 of Chanticleer, featuring a short poem by Muriel Spark entitled Conumdrum. Plain grey stapled wrappers. 24 pages. Edited by Irish poet Patrick Galvin, Chanticleer appeared from 1952 to 1954. This is a bright, clean copy without previous ownership inscriptions. The covers are sound - they are slightly toned at the edges. The leading edge corners are lightly creased. The pages are clean. The binding is solid. Given the fragility of these literary periodicals - particularly of this vintage - this is in very nice condition.
