A SIGNED and INSCRIBED UK first edition, first impression. The inscription reads : Dear Jo - thank you - from the Green Banana there is only up - to Frith Street. Tom S. April '70. The Green Banana was a restaurant and was where Stoppard Premiered After Magritte in April 1970.

WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is solid, complete and unclipped. It shows a touch of gentle rubbing to all edges and a touch of toning to the upper margins of both panels. Looks sharp.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and unfaded. The pages are clean and bright. The closed page edges are a little dulled. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are solid. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
