A Nero Wolfe mystery. A very early 3/- reprint - undated, but probably 1939 or 1940. No indication of edition.
Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped - showing the price 3/- on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing gentle rubbing to each of the corners. The spine is clean and unfaded. It shows light wear at the head and a triangle of loss at the tail. The back panel is sound. It shows light overall soiling. Looks solid in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and tight. The boards are bright and clean - there is a touch of fading at the spine ends. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are foxed. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A decent copy in a protected wrapper.
