The front and back boards are bright, showing the occasional trivial mark. The lettering on the front board is clear and bold. The spine is bright, the spine lettering is bold. The spine is bruised at the top and bottom. The spine is unfaded. The pages are clean and without foxing. The closed page edges are lightly toned, the gilt top edge is soiled. The binding is tight with no loose pages or cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscription - there is a note in Latin ( gifting the book ) pasted onto the front pastedown. A very nice copy of an uncommon title.
