Twain, Mark - The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - uncorrected proof copy

An uncorrected UK proof copy of the Windmill series Tom Sawyer ( illustrated by Edward Ardizzone ). This is a solid, sound copy without previous ownership inscriptions. The covers show light creasing at the corners and are gently soiled. The spine is gently creased. It is unfaded. The pages are clean - the endpapers are slightly marked. The closed page edges are spotted. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges or loose pages. Given the fragility of proof copies, this is in very nice condition.
