Twain, Mark - The Innocents Abroad
Undated but, given the ecclesiastical gothic endpapers in the book, probably from the mid 1920's.
WRAPPER : The evocative wrapper on this copy is bright, clean, complete and unclipped. It shows light wear to the upper edges, a small split to the leading edge crease on the front panel and rubbing and slight nicking to the spine ends. The spine is unfaded. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : The book is tight. The boards are unfaded and the corners are sharp. The spine - as ever - is dulled. There is a touch of trivial bruising to the spine ends. The pages are clean, though ( as usual with Readers Library titles) the text block and closed page edges are browned. The top closed page edge is soiled. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is tight, the hinges are fragile but solid. A nice copy of a fragile book.
