The first English translation of a title that first appeared in French in 1901.

WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 12s 6d on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and bold. The spine is fresh and unfaded. It shows light rubbing to the ends. The white back panel is sound - it is lightly soiled. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean. They are slightly mottled - not damp, though. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are bright. There are no dog-eared or loose pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
