Wallace, Edgar - The Calendar

A Collins small format 7d novel. Undated, but from the mid-1930's. Uncommon in a wrapper.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is unfaded, showing light wear at the edges and small nicks to the main body. The red spine has faded and shows gentle scuffing to the ends. The white back panel is lightly soiled. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are clean, the board edges show slight rubbing. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges show light spotting. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There is a stamped name and a couple of numbers on the ffep. There are a few words and some pencil lines on the front pastedown. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
