Wallace, Edgar - The Devil Man
A UK SECOND impression. Uncommon in jacket.
WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is clean, bright, unfaded and very well preserved. It is unclipped. It is priced at 3/6 on the spine. A further 1/- sticker is also affixed to the spine. The front panel is bright, clean and unfaded, showing innocuous rubbing at the leading edge corners. The spine is unfaded and clean. It shows a trivial touch of bruising at either end. The back panel is sound, if very slightly soiled and superficially worn at the lower edge. The spine ends and the edges of the jacket have been internally reinforced. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : Original orange cloth, black lettering to front board and spine. The book is sound and tight. The front and back boards are unfaded but slightly soiled. The corners are gently rubbed. The lettering on the front board is bright and bold. The spine is sound. The spine lettering is bold. The spine is bruised at the ends. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are sound - they are slightly soiled and show light flecking. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy of an uncommon title
