An early UK reprint. Small format. Undated, but from the early 1930's. Unusual in jacket.

WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing a touch of rubbing and wear to the edges. The spine is clean and unfaded. It is gently rubbed at the ends. The back panel is sound, showing soiling to the main body and light wear to the top and bottom edges. Looks sharp in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are bright, the corners sharp. The lower corners and the spine ends are gently bruised. The gilt on the front board is bright and bold. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound, if slightly dusty. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
