A UK first edition - one of Wallace's hardest to find first editions. Lacking the wrapper. Original blue boards, rebacked - possibly with a spine from the 1918 issue. Damp affected boards have been crudely re-coloured at the edges. All corners gently rubbed. Bright and clean spine with fresh and bold gilt lettering. New endpapers. First few pages damp stained - text bock is otherwise clean. Toned closed page edges. No ownership inscriptions. Tight binding. A good only copy with faults, but of a title that is very scarce in first edition.
