Arthur Weigall was the Inspector-General of Antiquities for the Egyptian Government in the 1920 and this autobiographical book describes the animals he has as pets or working animals during that time.

A bright UK first edition, first impression. Rare in the wrapper.

Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright, complete and well preserved. It is unclipped. It shows slight wear to the upper edges but is otherwise fresh and unfaded. Looks very sharp.

Book : The book is square and tight. The boards are very clean. The corners are sharp. The pages are bright - no foxing. The closed page edges are toned and show occasional spotting. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. No ownership inscriptions. A handsome copy in a protected wrapper.
