Wells, Carolyn - Anything But the Truth
A Fleming Stone detective novel. A US first edition, first impression.
WRAPPER : The evocative period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by A H Bolton ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price $2.00 on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing a touch of light rubbing to the edges and corners. The spine is gently soiled and shows a touch og rubbing and scuffing to the ends. The back panel is sound, showing a modicum of overall soiling and a touch of wear at the extremities. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean, bright and are unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound - the top edge is slightly dusty and there is occasional light spotting to the other edges. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
