WRAPPER : The period wrapper on this copy ( artwork by John Aveten ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped, showing the price 7s 6d on the inside flap. The front panel is bright if lightly soiled. It shows gentle wear to the upper edge. The spine is clean. It is lightly toned and is gently scuffed and rubbed at the head. The back panel is sound. It is lightly soiled and shows gentle wear to the top edge. Looks sharp.

BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are bright. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper.
