A UK first edition. Publisher's tan cloth, lettered in gilt and decorated in dark brown. Two pages of Ads at the rear. No wrapper. The book is square and tight. The boards are generally clean and unfaded. The spine has dulled, the spine ends are gently bruised. The corners are bruised. The lettering on the spine is bold. The pages are very clean - no foxing. The closed page edges are dulled. The binding is tight, the hinges are fragile but solid. There are no dog-eared or loose pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A very nice copy.
