A UK first edition. Original red cloth titled in gilt. No wrapper. The book is square and tight. The boards are clean. The corners are sharp. The spine ends are lightly bruised - there is a small ( 1cm ) split at the head of the spine. The pages are clean - no foxing. The closed page edges are tanned and slightly dusty. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There is a small, neat previous ownership inscription on the ffep and a bookplate on the front pastedown. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
