A SIGNED UK first edition, first impression. There is a pencil inscription on the front pastedown saying that this was a presentation copy to Sir Sidney Low. There is, however, nothing in the book to indicate that this is Low's copy. No wrapper. Original red boards. A tight and solid copy. The boards are bright and very lightly soiled. clean. The corners are sharp. The spine is faded and lightly spotted. The spine ends are lightly bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are dulled. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - the board hinges are a little fragile. There are no previous ownership inscriptions This copy has been SIGNED by H G Wells ( with kind regards ) to the FFEP.
