Wells, H G - The Plattner Story

A UK first edition. Publishers red cloth titled in gilt. 40 pages of ads dated March 1897. No wrapper. The book is square and tight. The boards are clean and unfaded. The spine has dulled, the spine ends are chipped and brittle. The gilt lettering on the front board is bold, but is a little dulled 0on the spine. The pages are clean. The closed page edges and page margins are tanning. The binding is tight, the hinges are fragile but solid. There are no dog-eared or loose pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions, but there is a neat and ornate ownership bookplate on the front pastedown. A decent copy.
