The author's first book - published in the U.S as In the Garden of the North American Martyrs. An uncorrected UK proof ( Advanced Reader's Copy ). This is a bright copy, without previous ownership inscriptions. The covers are bright and unfaded with tiny creases at the corners - insignificant. There are no creases to the spine, which is solid and intact. The spine is gently faded. The pages and closed page edges are clean. The binding is solid with no cracked hinges or loose pages. Given the fragility of proof copies, this is in very nice condition.
