A US first edition, first impression in the rare wrapper. 1912 stated on the title and copyright pages.

WRAPPER : The period wrapper on this copy is a little scruffy and a little tired. It shows overall soiling and loss at each of the corners. The spine ends are chipped and the leading edges are split and show the occasional nick. The wrapper is unclipped. Looks presentable in protective plastic.

BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are bright - there is a small mark on the front board. The spine ends and the corners are lightly bruised. The pages are clean - the endpapers show one or two spots. The closed page edges are a little dusty and dulled. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A dcent copy in a protected wrapper.
